My first step in designing a logo for Mentoring Days was to read the definition of the keyword for this project: ‘mentoring’. This term denotes the effective transfer of expertise and experience through a valuable relationship. Equipped with this knowledge, I got down to working on a logo befitting this event, which is held under the auspices of the Polish Mentoring Association and HR Influencers.
I decided in favour of a logo which combines a monogram with an abstract visualisation of the mentor-mentee bond. With this mix, I show the wealth of opportunities that arise from bringing together knowledge and experience. The Mentoring Days logo really helps appreciate these values.
The shape of the logo triggers associations with a window or a door, and thus effectively portrays a sense of opening up and attaining the previously inaccessible. The monogram also features a plant which has only just come into bloom: a metaphor for development, success, and prosperity.
