Kinga Owczennikow photography
Before I started designing the monogram, I tried to delve into Kinga’s work. It immediately occurred to me that she is not for everyone.
Her photographs opened up to me a world that was minimalist, but at the same time full of deep emotions. A world that requires concentration, full of details that have multiple meanings. A metaphorical world. A world that sometimes arouses helplessness in the face of the reality on view and at the same time arouses fear of its disturbance. A world in silence. I realised that the individual photographs are not accidental. They are part of a larger artistic plan.
I began to think about how to design a monogram that would support her personal brand well and at the same time correspond with this world. My design is also a bit understated. It won’t be read by everyone straight away. It requires stopping and flexibility. The tonal transition is a conscious decision with all the consequences – the technical difficulties it will generate.
