Gonia Zduńczyk
For over 25 years, Gonia Zduńczyk has been combining her two passions – photography and Africa. She photographs people, animals and plants on the Black Continent – realistically and abstractly. Over 10 years ago, together with her husband Robert, she established the Poland-East Africa Economic Foundation, which has implemented over 30 projects in Burundi, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. Their aim was to develop new skills and opportunities for a better life in Africa. Gonia created photographic reports documenting the course and effect of the projects.
I designed a monogram for her, which can be used to sign photographs. Thanks to this solution, the photos on the Internet were no longer anonymous. The monogram strengthens the personal brand Goni. When the cinematographer saw the project, she said that she associated it with a keyhole and automatically with a viewfinder in the camera through which the world looks and “peers”. She declared that she could and wants to identify with such a project.
Subsequent projects that have been created are inspired by the monogram.
